  with the proliferation of social media, more people have been reached by the watchtower organization than ever before in history.

  it sure took them long enough!.

  at the same time, anti-jw activism has caught fire to counterbalance the propaganda.. there are all sorts of activists operating "out there" using books, videos, podcasts, facebook, and incidental un-witnessing to puncture and perforate the false message and counterfeit codswallop of the governing body.. __________.

  Good topic.

  Al lot more could/should be done to rip off the veneer of the WTBTS/JW cult and expose its lies and corruptions.

  Personally I feel that the priorities are to try and hit the org financially as well as to warn potential converts of the very real risks they face by becoming a J.W.

  Since the org wallows in its charitable status based on its "Bible education" work & free literature, perhaps their qualifications for charity status should be revoked due to the fact that their raison d'être is nothing to do with charity, and everything to do with self-promotion and self-enlargement - both financially and in converts.

  In the UK, the government can be obliged to debate a topic in parliament if 100,000 signatories sign up to an e-petition. https://www.gov.uk/petition-government

  Separately, complaints/questions could be submitted to the UK Charities Commission to highlight the glaring absence of charity work by an organization which has tax-free status, receives taxpayers' money via gift-aid, and which will avoid paying a fortune in taxes when it sells off it Branch Office properties in London - as well as any multi-million pound London Kingdom Halls which almost certainly will be "consolidated." (include all the other UK K.H.'s which will be sold off)

  Individually we can help individual ex/J.W.'s - but to deal with the org, we need the services of an "Equaliser."

  ok so i was stupid and looked at the text for today, i do not know why i did it.

  i lost a couple of brain cells and put myself into an even deeper depression over it.

  it was just that my husband had it out and i thought what can it hurt, wondering what they are up to.

  and who will come after that, yahweh, as the old testament says or jesus, as the new testament says?

  the scriptures say he'll come to the mount of olives, but surely that's a spiritual mount of olives.

  According to WTBTS/JW dogma, Armageddon will be triggered via "an attack on Babylon the Great" (every religion except J.W.'s) by the world's governments, thereby causing a "greater fulfillment"of the great tribulation which Jesus described at Matthew 24:21.

  According to the Bible, the great tribulation of Revelation 7:14 is a reference to the tribulation spoken of earlier at Revelation 2:22 - one which is directed solely at corrupt elders/Christians throughout Christianity. No other religions are involved. Just as 1st Peter 4:17 says, "The judgement starts first with the house of God."

  the wife told me it was more like 20-22 years since i seen or talked to her.but since that visit we.

  we have not spoke to one another, not a word.

  my family members (not jw) ask me have i called.

  What a dilemma to face! Would writing an honest, heart-felt letter prepare the way for a conversation or a meeting? It may at least break the ice before you meet face to face. I wish you a peaceful result, whatever transpires.

  The shunning has started and... I like it!

  so not having turned in a time-slip in a loooooooong time and making fewer and fewer meetings, and from time to time attending a local church service... the majority of local dubs are overtly shunning me.

  there are those who i talk to and who visit our home from time to time, but this last meeting i went to hardly anyone made eye contact, when i greeted folks passing by me, they ignored me.

  it actually felt good.. i was surprised at my reaction.

  Isn't it a weird paradox that we may actually appreciate being shunned/ignored in the J.W. world, but in our normal day to day life we'd be disturbed at such treatment by so-called friends/relatives?

  you found out about ttatt way back in the 70's or maybe the 80's (basically before the internet) and you thought that you were all alone in this knowledge?

  what do you think would have happened to you?

  no jehovahs-witness.com, no john cedars, no arc, no jwfacts.com and no crisis of conscience to fall back on.

  In all honesty, the Watchtower Library CD ROM has played the greatest part in my discovering how corrupt the WTBTS really is. The brothers who devised it should be praised!

  The internet provides the icing on the cake with so many different aspects of the org's corruptions, but "out of their own mouths" the self-proclaimed & self-glorifying "faithful and discreet slave" gives an abundance of proof in the CD ROM to demonstrate that the org is anti-scriptural, anti-Christ, and apostate!

  I need to know more on why its a problem for me dating a JW girl.

  ok not to throw no shade or no disrespect to the jw religion.

  which i truly do respect because my girlfriend is part of but i just don't understand, i have researched so much about it.

  so much about how its discouraged for her to be with me just cause of different religion.

  Without debating these topics, would you seriously abandon your belief/practice of them to be with your girlfriend? The fact is that she almost certainly wouldn't adopt them, so your relationship would face terrible strains when it came to celebrating such things.

  Just ask her how she feels about such things - you'll quickly see that you don't/won't belong together. Sorry.

  one hundred years have passed and the society still supports this lie, which of course, is the basis of their other lies, like that of the unfaithful and not discreet slave appointed in 1919. however, i wonder, what will happen after 50 years, when the overlapped generation will pass?.

  and if you want, what will happen with this religion in 2100?, could it survive with the same lie??

  1914 is the cornerstone of J.W. dogma - it's the foundation of their "last days" predictions. They cannot afford to discard it. On that basis, it will only disappear when the org itself goes out of business. (Think positive - Lehman Brothers, Woolworths, Pan Am, Berlin wall, etc.
